using groupie
groupie is a free tool for splitting bills with friends. by using groupie, you agree to these simple terms.
the service
groupie helps you photograph receipts, extract items, and coordinate who pays for what. it's a calculation and coordination tool — we don't handle any actual payments.
your content
you're responsible for the receipts and information you upload. don't upload receipts containing sensitive information beyond typical restaurant or retail transactions.
accuracy
while we strive for accuracy in parsing receipts, ai isn't perfect. always verify the extracted items and prices before finalizing your split.
temporary data
receipts and splits are automatically deleted after 7 days. we don't provide backups or recovery for expired data.
no warranty
groupie is provided "as is" without warranties. we're not responsible for disputes between you and your friends about who ate what.
changes
we may update these terms as the service evolves. continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
